Vietnamese people and land introduced to ASEAN friends

A film show on the Vietnamese people and land was held in New Delhi on Dec. 27, 2005 by the Vietnamese Women's Union.

The film show, part of the regular meeting of the Club of Women of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), introduced Viet Nam's economic achievements as well as cultural heritage and sites of scenic beauty to friends from other ASEAN nations.

The ASEAN Women's Club meeting was aimed at boosting solidarity and understanding among women of ASEAN member countries.

Over the past year, the ASEAN Women's Club held many activities, such as fund raisers for Tsunami victims and exchanges of culture, gastronomy and sports.

Viet Nam served as President of the ASEAN Women's Club in the 2004-2005 term.
