HCMC to set up tourist information counter at hot spots |
Deputy director of the HCMC Tourism Department, Le Nhut Tan, said the stand would provide information and assistance to foreign tourists, first in English, and later on in Japanese, Chinese, Korean and German.
The counter, to occupy a 60 square meter area and cost around VND1.5 billion (US$95,000), will be set up at Chi Lang park in district 1 by September. In future, the department plans to set up more such booths in other tourist-frequented spots in the city, like the Museum of War Remnants and Pham Ngu Lao, the backpacker’s street in district 1. |
